Software Company

Engineering shapes how we turn real needs into software.

EmberStream Studio LLC is a North American software company that designs, develops, and maintains its own software products. Its work combines software development, automation, and infrastructure, with a focus on practical needs and thoughtful engineering.

Origin

Out of necessity.

It started the way most good tools do, out of necessity. In 2025, EmberStream founder Mike began building a custom Discord bot for a tight-knit MMO community he helped run. The goal was simple: replace the patchwork of unreliable bots, manual processes, and workarounds that every server operator knows too well. What started as a personal project quickly grew into something the community relied on daily. Group finding, moderation, event coordination, and analytics, all managed from one place.

The game ended. The tools didn't.

When circumstances in the gaming space shifted and the community's primary game shut down, a choice had to be made. The tools that had been built solved problems every Discord community faces, regardless of the game. Mike brought on co-founder Paul, who saw the potential and led the platform's technical architecture and engineering direction, building it around a unique product scope rooted in real community needs.

The founding group came from engineering and highly technical backgrounds. Software development, infrastructure, observability, and cloud were nothing new to the team. Instead of letting the project fade, they recognized the broader demand for well-engineered automation tools and committed to building something lasting. The focus moved from serving one community to building a platform that could serve thousands.

Built over eight months.

In 2026, EmberStream Studio LLC was formally established as a North American software company. The product began as MMO Maid, with its own name and persona. The team spent the first four to five months developing it around that identity before co-founder Dan Nelson came up with the name YourBot. Paul designed the new brand and it has become the mascot that customers know today.

Over eight months of development, the team built YourBot into a Discord platform with ten built-in services, a web dashboard, a plugin marketplace, and a developer SDK. The platform also includes Plugin Builder for creating custom plugins with AI, and Start Your Server for designing, reviewing, and building Discord servers with channels, roles, and permissions.

YourBot today.

YourBot is live. The Free plan includes all ten built-in services on the shared bot. Premium adds a custom bot identity, private hosting, and access to marketplace plugins.

Developers can build and publish plugins through the SDK and developer portal. AI tools support server setup and plugin creation.

Full-stack engineers building the bot layer, web dashboard, and plugin runtime. Fluent in async Python, Discord's API, and real-time event handling.
Infrastructure Engineers
Multi-tenant deployment, container orchestration, database performance, and the pipeline that keeps plugins sandboxed and running at scale.
Architecture Principals
Designing the systems that tie everything together. Tenant isolation, plugin lifecycle, caching layers, and the API facade every service builds on.
Distinguished Engineers
Setting technical direction across the platform. Security boundaries, SDK design, marketplace trust models, and long-term scalability.
